Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson has had his fair share of struggles in the running game, but he is still a strong believer in the fact that the team desperately needs to pick up their performance in the rushing game if they want to have any chance at making the postseason.

Despite being among the top earners in the league at his position, Johnson has been brutally bad with four straight performances of under 40-yards.

It is completely unacceptable for Johnson to be performing at such a low level and he seems to realize that he needs to pick things up in order to help the team’s offense.

“If the running game doesn’t get going, this is going to be another non-playoff team,” Johnson said, via Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean. “But I think we have the players in here to do it, and I think we’re going to be OK.”

Johnson is right.

You can’t make a serious run with an average passing attack and horrendous rushing attack.

What Johnson really needs to do is improve to the CJ2k of old and then the team will have a real chance at being a playoff caliber team.
