The Houston Texans have spent the past two weeks preparing for their match up in Week 9 against the Indianapolis Colts, but there is plenty of uncertainty about the status of both of the team’s top two running backs.

After practice came to an end this week, Texans head coach Gary Kubiak provided some good news.

Kubiak told the media that running back Ben Tate is set to suit up and play against the Colts, while Arian Foster is set to be a game-time decision:

Tate was dealing with a rib injury since the bye week, while Foster has been dealing with nagging injuries to his hamstring.

For now, Foster is officially listed as questionable. We will know more once he takes the field for warm ups on Saturday.

If Foster is unable to play against the Colts, the Texans will need to choose from Deji Karim, Dennis Johnson and Ray Graham to serve as the primary back up for Tate.
