Since being released by the Dallas Cowboys, defensive tackle Jay Ratliff has been making the rounds to defensive line needy teams as they look to bolster their depth for the final stretch of the regular season.
After meeting with the Chicago Bears, Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins, Ratliff’s latest stop has come to a team that recently lost their star defensive tackle Geno Atkins.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Ratliff is receiving interest from the Cincinnati Bengals.
As you'd expect, #Bengals reached out to Jay Ratliff. But they're looking for immediate help, he'll need a few more weeks. Door is open tho

As Rapoport points out, the Bengals need a replacement now, so it wouldn’t make sense for the team to sign a guy that won’t be ready for three more weeks. However, if their in house replacement leaves a lot to be desired, Ratliff will remain an option down the road.
Cincinnati looks very interested in adding defensive line depth, because they have also offered a practice squad spot to Sam Montgomery.
