Denver Broncos head coach John Fox suffered a health scare on Saturday afternoon at a golf course in Charlotte. Fox was feeling chest pains and a shortness of breath, so he was taken to the hospital as many feared he was suffering from a heart attack.

The good news, however, is that Fox did not suffer a heart attack and he is expected to be fine after the scare.

The Denver Broncos PR man provided the following update:

It’s good to hear that Fox is doing well and that the health scare was not as serious as it was initially believed.

The Denver Broncos are currently on a bye week, so Fox will be able to use the extra time off to rest up and make sure he is fully healthy and ready to go for the team’s Week 10 match up against the San Diego Chargers.
