Beards, beards and more beards. Apparently, if you don’t have a beard and you’re in the Boston area, you’re doing it wrong.

That’s likely why Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo was spotted with some facial hair prior to the tip-off of the Celtics’ home opener on Friday night.

Rondo, who is out and currently rehabbing a torn ACL decided to speak to the Celtics faithful before the game, addressing the crowd in a hilarious strap on beard. It was quite amusing for all involved, from the fans to the coaches and teammates to Rondo himself.

The former Kentucky Wildcat was spotted at Fenway Park a few times this season and again during the playoffs and World Series, supporting his fellow Boston team.

No word on if he was able to attend Saturday’s World Series victory parade, though if he did, I hope he did it in full beard.

From the Rally Monkey to the infamous San Francisco Giants thong to the beards, it seems as if every World Series winner has something that will always live on in the memories.
