The Dallas Cowboys got some good news earlier today when it was announced that running back DeMarco Murray will be back in the starting line up. While they were hopeful that defensive end DeMarcus Ware, who was listed as doubtful, would be ready to go. ESPN’s Ed Werder is reporting that he hasn’t seen Ware yet today, and he was supposed to go through morning warm-ups.

Ware has been fighting a quad injury but said earlier this week that he felt better.

“It’s like night and day,” Ware said, via ESPN. “Last week it was probably like 50 percent, and it’s totally different now. I did some drills today and I went through a lot of the bags and everything. Just getting everything strengthened to get back on the field.”

“The way that everything is going, it’s progressing really well,” Ware said on Thursday. “I did a lot of the drills today. I’m starting to feel really good, and now I’m trying to get ready for this week. If not this week, try to get ready for next week. This is a day-to-day thing.”

His absence doesn’t necessarily mean he isn’t starting, so there will be more news coming to indicate what is happening. Stay tuned.
