Just when you thought the harassment story involving Miami Dolphins offensive linemen Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin couldn’t get any stranger, texts have reportedly been revealed that show some troubling threats and comments from Incognito directed at Martin.

In the series of text messages, Incognito allegedly threatens to track down Martin’s family along with many other troubling comments — including calling Martin a “half ni****” and saying that he will defecate in Martin’s mouth.

Oh boy, this just got awkward.

From CBS Sports:

"Among the texts that Jonathan Martin made available to his parents, and then, eventually the Dolphins and the NFL, include those in which Richie Incognito refers to Martin, who is biracial, as a “half-n*****,” according to a source who was privy to the communication. There are several instances of threats as well, the sources said, and overall disturbing exchanges, including one in which Incognito refers to defecating in Martin’s mouth.Incognito also made reference to tracking down members of Martin’s family and harming them in the texts as well, according to a source."

Things sure aren’t looking good for Incognito, who has been indefinitely suspended from the team.

Before the latest allegations came to light, Incognito said that he was going to clear his name. Now, those tweets have been deleted and it is time for Incognito to do some damage control.

While these comments could be passed off as light ribbing between two friends, it is clear that Incognito was being hostile and this was not an isolated incident.

It is going to be interesting to see how the NFL decides to handle the situation as they dig deeper in their investigation.
