In fantasy football, it’s getting to crunch time as teams jockey for playoff positioning and the weeks start to wind down. With the six-team bye weeks behind us, there’s still some more to navigate with four, two, and four teams taking their break the next three weeks. This week the Patriots, Browns, Jets, and Chiefs are not in action so you’ll need to fill in your roster and overcome without those options.

There are plenty of options on the wire, and you can definitely help your team with the right additions. Each Tuesday right here on Fansided.com you can find the top 10 waiver wire pickups for the coming week. In each top 10, you’ll find at least one quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end as well as a team defense with a favorable matchup in case you are streaming defenses or looking for a one-week fill in.

Throughout the rest of the week, keep coming back to Fansided’s fantasy page where you’ll find continuing coverage and analysis to help you get the win you need in week 10 no matter how much duct tape and chewing gum you need to hold your roster together.

All players on this list or in the “best of the rest” on the final page are available in at least 50% of ESPN leagues as of Monday and their ownership percentages are included in parentheses. That means that some of the players on the list in the past (last week’s post available here) like Zac Stacy (pictured above), Harry Douglas, Jordan Reed, Jarrett Boykin, Danny Woodhead, Alshon Jeffery, Jordan Cameron, Julius Thomas, Chris Ivory, and Julian Edelman are no longer eligible to appear even though they still make good pickups if they’re available.

If you’re not sure about your waiver claim or want some personalized advice, feel free to ask me on twitter @ZT_Sports or include the question in a comment at the bottom of the page. I’ll do my best to answer all your questions as quickly as possible.

All scoring references are from NFL.com’s default scoring which simply is used to give a common baseline to work from. Adjust appropriately your team and league scoring system.

Here’s my top ten additions headed into week 9:

Totally agree. My fantasy football team is coming along nicely, but I need to get 1 or 2 out. I’m 5th in my league and climbing!

Hey ZT it’s me again, 8 Man standard league 2 WR, 2 RB, 1 Flex

My TE Jordan Cameron is on bye. I like T. Wright that you have as a pick up but I can’t decide who to drop. I am nervous whoever I drop someone else will pick up. My most dropable guys are Cameron, Fred Jackson, Ridley, J. Gordon, D. Martin, MJD, M James. I think I want to drop Doug Martin but I hear mixed things about him needing surgery and him starting this week. But even if he starts will he play the whole game or get the ball like he used to?
Also I am last on the waiver wire if T. Wright is taken do I go for Fleener or Cook?

As of now set up for this week I am planning on starting D. Murray, Stacy, and Fred Jackson for RB’s and Flex. I do have MJD and M. James on my bench. Are either of these two guys worth consideration over my starters and if Doug Martin returns do I keep him benched?

Also do I drop Phillip Rivers for Foles if I can get him?

    Thanks Buddy

For this one, I’m going to work my way backwards up your questions… I wouldn’t drop Rivers for Foles… I’d start Murray, Stacy and James as long as Martin doesn’t return. I also think Martin’s the most droppable of the names listed since I agree with you that he’ll be limited if he does return.. Wright would be my top option but if can’t get him I’d go Fleener than Cook. Hope that helps!

Hey there, got a quick question for you.

With Rodgers, Sidney Rice, and Percy Harvin (likely) all not playing this weekend, who do you think is a safer bet: A streaky Doug Baldwin playing against a so-so Falcons defense, or a not quite 100% James Jones with Seneca Wallace throwing to him? Standard league, by the way, not PPR. Thanks!

I’d play Baldwin because I don’t trust Wallace at all. Since Harvin’s out, Baldwin makes a good one-week play.
