If you’re a Portland fan who is sick of discussing LaMarcus Aldridge’s satisfaction with the Trail Blazers as a franchise, well, there’s some good news and bad news. The good news is that Aldridge recently told Sam Amick of USA Today Sports that he’s perfectly happy in the city of Portland. The bad news is that, if history is any indication, the chatter about Aldridge probably won’t cease until he is either a) traded or b) turned to stone by a witch and therefore immovable from the city.

Here’s what Aldridge had to say (for what feels like the umpteenth time) about Portland:

"I’m happy here right now. I feel like we have a team that can win, that can make noise, and I feel like if we buy in then anything is possible. So I’m happy, and it’s still my team and I’m playing well.I feel like the team has jelled around me. I feel like coach (Terry Stotts) has trusted me more this year to where I’m getting different opportunities that I didn’t get last year, so I think everything is going great right now."

You heart that, Aldridge haters? He likes Portland.

(But make sure to tune in next week when Aldridge’s negative Yelp review of Voodoo Doughnuts causes a huge media stir!)
