After a 2-2 start, it hasn’t been all roses for the 2013-2014 Miami Heat, and they will be without their best big man, Chris Bosh, when the team takes the court in Toronto on Tuesday night. Fortunately, Bosh’s absence is more than justified, as the organization has a new “addition” to the Heat family:

For more on Bosh’s state of mind, he let us into his personal life a bit with this Tweet following his daughter’s birth:

If there was ever something to miss an NBA game (sans injury), this is it, and I’m happy to see that Bosh is taking his time returning to the club. That said, it does leave Miami a bit short-handed for their game against the Raptors, as Bosh is easily their best player in the front-court not named Lebron James.

Bosh has averaged 19.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game through 4 contests, and it will be up to guys like Udonis Haslem, Chris Andersen, and even the “left for dead” Rashard Lewis to pick up the slack. Stay tuned.
