DeAngelo Williams responds to fan on Facebook in classy way (Photo)

Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams had a cool exchange with a fan on Facebook. Normally you don’t see these kind of interactions on Facebook, mainly those occur on Twitter. Panthers fan Chris Haywood posted a picture of his son wearing DeAngelo William’s jersey and a glove. The caption thanks Williams for giving his wife the glove, and talks about how is son has treasured it since.

Williams responds to the Facebook photo in the comments but saying “my pleasure, thanks for buying your son my jersey!” It was an incredibly gracious and classy way to respond. The fact that he responded itself is pretty cool, but it is taken to a whole different level by choosing to thank them for the support.

Then, Williams took a screen shot of the interaction and posted it to his personal Facebook page. That kid is having a pretty awesome week, and amid some of the scandals and stories that come out of the NFL, it is nice to be reminded that there are quality men in those locker rooms. Williams is one of them.
