Broncos at Chargers odds, predictions and previews
By Bryan Rose
The San Diego Chargers might be one of the most complex teams in the league. Despite a very blah 4-4 record, the Chargers are literally 12 points away from being 6-2 and in the thick of the AFC West race. But last minute mistakes cost them against the Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans and Washington Redskins – all three resulting in losses.
They’ll have the opportunity to return to their winning ways against the Denver Broncos, though, it won’t be easy as the Broncos come in at 7-1.
San Diego’s defense has been relatively sub-par through the first half of the NFL season – an attribute that likely has the chops of the Broncos watering considering they’ve yet to score less than 35 points in any game this season, leading the league in points by an extremely wide margin.
Meanwhile, Denver’s defense hasn’t enough been great against the pass, but a large portion of that comes from teams picking up numbers in garbage time as they’re forced to throw considering they’re often behind in the score.
Given what we’ve seen from both offenses and defenses, it’s possible we’ll have quite a shootout on our hands. It likely won’t be as offensively powered as the game would be in Denver, but a high scoring game certainly isn’t out of the question.
