As Invicta Fighting Championships unveiled their new website, Invicta President Shannon Knapp announced the promotion had assigned California native and journeyman Michelle “T-Cat” Ould.

This is a good move by Invicta FC as Ould will be a good addition to the promotion.

Making her professional MMA debut in 2007, Ould has accumulated an impressive record of 7-3-2 and is currently riding a three-fight winning streak. She has wins over Munah Holland, Jessica Rakoczy and Avery Vilche. She has fought for regional as well as major promotions like Tachi Palace Fights and Extreme Combat.

Ould is an accomplished grappler and has some good striking. Being a mother and pursing a business degree, along with being a professional athlete, shows she has tremendous determination and a great work ethic.

I think T-Cat will make a good fit for Invicta’s 125-pound division. With Invicta FC 7 happening in December, it is likely we will not see the journeyman fighter make her debut for the promotion until 2014.

One possible opponent for her would be Zolia Frausto Gurgel, who will take on Vanessa Porto at Invicta FC 7. Gurgel submitted Ould back in 2010, which was T-Cat’s last defeat. The California fighter has come leaps and bounds since then and could give the former Bellator champion a run for her money. Still, this would mean that Gurgel would have to not only defeat Porto, but also be willing to fight at the next event, which has not been a problem for many of Invicta’s stars.

That said, I think T-Cat would be a good match for any opponent puts in front of her.
