With the Jonathan Martin – Richie Incognito situation taking center stage in the NFL world, many of the Miami Dolphins players have come forward to defend Incognito and question Martin for the way that he has handling the situation.

This has drummed up a conversation about the mentality inside of the NFL locker room, but there is at least one player who applauded Martin for taking the high world and handling the situation with class. The entire discussion about Jonathan Martin needing to “man up” was getting a bit ridiculous, so it was nice to see a player speak out on his behalf with kind words.

Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor spoke to the media about the situation, and he stated that he believes Martin handled things like a man.

“I hope that we see Martin playing again soon – I’ve watched some tape of him, he’s a good player,” Pryor said, via the team’s official website. “Hats off to him for standing up and being a man.

“There are some situations where sometimes you have to do that, it’s minor things, but you want to cut things off. There are so many situations that pop up – your teammate has one drink or something like that and you want to say, ‘Hey, maybe you should take a cab, come take a cab with me,’ something small like that you just get so much respect from your teammate that you stopped and helped him. It’s just little things like that, it matters and that definitely comes in on a leadership role.”

Not only does Pryor finally give us a look at a level-headed NFL player who has been able to reasonably look at the situation, but he has shown that he is a player who has all of the leadership qualities you can ask for and the Raiders have to be thrilled that he is in their locker room.
