Despite making some big plays this season, this Chicago Bears defense has struggled so far this year.

They picked up one of their biggest wins of the season on Monday night against the Green Bay Packers even though Aaron Rodgers was taken out of the game early. I’m sure they would have wanted to beat the Packers with Rodgers in the lineup, but as a fan of this team, we’ll take it.

Now the man who happened to sideline Aaron Rodgers on the first drive of the game is now listed as doubtful against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. The game will determine which one of these two teams will sit at the top of the the division by the end of the day.

Shea McClellin had three sacks against the Green Bay Packers on Monday. This pass rush for the Bears has been somewhat weak this season but showed up on Monday and helped take down the Packers.

This Sunday they’re going up against a team that’s already defeated them in Detroit. With McClellin out, this is going to be a huge blow to this defense.

They’ve already lost Lance Briggs for a couple more weeks and D.J. Williams, Henry Melton for the remainder of the year. Julius Peppers is going to have to step it up big time if they expect to put any pressure on Stafford.
