Denver Broncos TE Julius Thomas went down with an injury in the game against the Washington Redskins, and it appeared as though it might be enough to sideline him for at least one game. But that won’t be the case today against the San Diego Chargers, as Thomas will be active for today’s AFC West rivalry game.

Thomas’ breakout this season has come in large part because the last two season have been almost completely ruined by ankle injuries, so the fact that he suffered an injured ankle Sunday is scary for his outlook. The timing of the bye week helps tremendously and enhances the chances he’ll play in two weeks.

Through eight games, Thomas has caught 39 passes for 451 yards and eight touchdowns. He’ll be a big asset today for the Broncos and anyone who has him on their fantasy football team.

Inactive for the Broncos are RB Ronnie Hillman, DT Sylvester Williams, C J.D. Walton, QB Zac Dysert, S Duke Ihenaco, OG Chris Kuper and CB Champ Bailey.
