With more information being reported on what was really going on between Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito in the Miami Dolphins’ locker room, just as much information is coming out on Incognito past transgressions as a part of the Dolphins.

Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that Incognito was summoned to the league office prior to the start of the 2012 season to discuss off-the-field incidents that were unknown to the public until recently.

While it is unknown which specific incident garnered the invitation, it can assumed that May 2012 incident where Incognito was a accused of battery by a woman working at a golf-course during a team event. It was reported that both the Dolphins and the league knew of the alleged incident, even though no one else did.

Whatever was discussed at this meeting, it apparently didn’t do much to dissuade Incognito. Schefter also reported that Incognito was involved in a fight at a night club in June of this year. Incognito allegedly punched bouncer Carlos Joseph, the brother of former NFL defensive tackle William Joseph. Incognito was also punched and there is security camera footage of Incognito spitting out blood.

Besides the recent issue of locker room harassment, Incognito also allegedly punched and knocked out a security guard before the start of training camp.

Even if it turns out that Incognito’s treatment of Martin was overblown, I can’t imagine Incognito escaping punishment again after all the incidents that have surfaced involving him.

Incognito has been suspended by the Dolphins for conduct detrimental to the team.
