  1. Ohio State Buckeyes: They were off this week, but they still got a gift via Oregon losing to Stanford. The Buckeyes climbed to number three in the latest BCS standings. Only question now is, how long can they remain there?
  2. Michigan State Spartans: The Spartans also had the week off and will now head off to Lincoln to face Nebraska to see if the defense can keep carrying them all the way to Indy for a date with Ohio State for the Big Ten title.
  3. Wisconsin Badgers: The Badgers continues to roll, this time by defeating a very good BYU team. Next up is Indiana, against whom the Wisconsin running backs should have a field day with.
  4. Minnesota Golden Gophers: I’m not sure what it takes to beat this team recently, but opponents sure are having a tough time figuring that out. This week, the Gophers took care of Penn State and will head into a bye on a high note.
  5. Nebraska Cornhuskers: Bo Pelini and his team got a huge confidence boost with the win over Michigan. Now they’ll see if they can figure out a way around that punishing Michigan State defense.
  6. Michigan Wolverines: After a tough loss to Nebraska, the Wolverines will see this week if they can get some momentum back against a struggling Northwestern team.
  7. Iowa Hawkeyes: After an easy win over Purdue, Kirk Ferentz and his team will head into a bye week.
  8. Indiana Hoosiers: The Hoosiers offense had another explosive performance against Illinois this past week, but they have a much tougher test coming up against Wisconsin on Saturday.
  9. Penn State Nittany Lions: They have good weeks and they have bad weeks. The performance against Minnesota was an example of a bad one. But, there’s a big opportunity to gain some confidence back this week against Purdue.
  10. Northwestern Wildcats: After a much-needed week off, the Wildcats will see if they can get back on track this week against Michigan.
  11. Illinois Fighting Illini: After another crushing defeat, this time at the hands of Indiana, an Ohio State team looking to make a BCS statement lies ahead this week.
  12. Purdue Boilermakers: Like they say, it always gets worse before it gets better, Boilermaker fans. And I do believe that Darrell Hazell can have things better in a few years.
