The Oklahoma City Thunder won on Sunday night in a chippy game with the Washington Wizards. Tempers boiled over when Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook got into a shoving match with the Wizards’ Nene in the fourth quarter.

Westbrook went up for a lay up and got called for charging. He stumbled and was standing over the Wizards defender when he sat up. It looked like Westbrook was not trying to stand over him, but was just being careful before trying to step over him. He didn’t want to knee or kick the player. Nene wasn’t being patient and shoved Westbrook to the ground who then got up and shoved him back.

Westbrook was ejected from the game for the incident and the Thunder went on to win in the fourth quarter without him. A reporter of course asked about the incident that could’ve cost the game. The reporter asked if it was just frustration coming out.

“Whatchu talking about?” he asked in return. “Did we win? Alright.”

The reporter tried to ask a follow-up question, but Westbrook turns to him and says “that’s it for you Darnell.”

I think you got your answer Darnell, he seems frustrated still. Of course, Westbrook can’t expect not to be asked about that either.

The video below hopefully starts at the relevant part, but if not, fast forward to the 7:40 mark.
