Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Nash is an aging veteran in the game, but it was expected to be his show to run in Los Angeles until star Kobe Bryant was able to return from the ruptured Achilles tendon he suffered at the end of last season.

Unfortunately for Nash, the injuries are beginning to pile up and he hasn’t been able to showcase the talents he has to the best of his ability.

Now, he isn’t even sure when he can return to the line up after leaving Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves with back pains.

“It’s just been coming on, my back and my hamstring and the nerve has been bothering me for a while now,” Nash said, via Pro Basketball Talk. “Tonight I started limping and that was it. Mike took me out (early in the second quarter), I should have come out in the first quarter. Today was a bad day on the way to the game, so it was just a struggle today.

“It’s tough. It’s hard, I really want to play and play the way I’m accustomed to playing, and to be so limited is frustrating. And to not know where a cleanish bill of health is, is a little daunting, too.”

Hopefully Nash can get healthy soon to get the Lakers back on the right track.

After an impressive win in the season-opener against the Los Angeles Clippers, the Lakers have been struggling and looked unimpressive. They will need to right the ship soon.
