The Dallas Cowboys were blown out by the New Orleans Saints on Sunday Night Football. The Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones was not thrilled. While he said their 5-5 record isn’t acceptable, he felt good about the fact that four of those losses could’ve been wins.

“Five and five is not acceptable,” Jones said, via the Dallas Morning News. “But we can say that we were close on all but one of those games. We were competitive and could very easily have won any of those four games that we lost. I would have to say it’d be a stretch to say that we should have won or we should have been in there close in New Orleans. You could get pretty critical of everything if you used New Orleans as the basis to criticize on.

“But in general, yes, I’d like to… I’ll take our chances playing Kansas City the way we played them up there, second game of the year. We had a chance to win that ball game and played well enough to win. Denver, we had a chance to play it and win, so you look back on those, so I don’t think you look at what happened to us in New Orleans the other night and become panicky.”
