San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree did not practice on Thursday, but it was not a result of a setback or problem.  According to Matt Maiocco of CSN, the day off was scheduled for Crabtree as part of his rehab.  Everything is going according to plan at this point and this is just another aspect of it.

The 49ers are trying to get the weapons around quarterback Colin Kaepernick on the field, so he can go out and succeed.  Tight end Vernon Davis is trying to come back from a mild concussion and Mario Manningham has been playing.  The 49ers are trying to keep pace with the Seattle Seahawks for the division and potentially home field advantage in the playoffs, but at this point, they would really just like to get into the playoffs with all hands on deck, even if that means they are put in the position of being road warriors.

The 6-3 49ers are preparing to go on the road to take on the 7-2 New Orleans Saints in the Super Dome.  This will be an incredibly difficult test for them against one of the best home field advantages in the league,  but they go from there to take on the Washington Redskins on the road followed by a home game against the St. Louis Rams, which could function as get well games for the 49ers.
