The Minnesota Vikings are one of the many teams struggling at the quarterback position. Not only are they struggling to find a reliable quarterback, they’re having a hard time keeping them on the field.

The signed free agent Josh Freeman, who was injured and out with a concussion. Ponder has been hurt at times but played last week and got his first win of the season.

That win might have earned Ponder the starting job for at least another week but he is fighting off a shoulder injury from last weeks game. He dislocated his non throwing shoulder while diving forward.

“Ponder looked good,” wide receiver Greg Jennings said, via the Pioneer Press. “He practiced and [was] getting the game plan in and making some throws.”

“I’m pretty sure Christian probably got the majority (of snaps),” Vikings quarterback Josh Freeman said. “Glad to see he’s feeling better. I’m just continuing to do whatever they give me, gobble it up and trying to be as effective as possible.”

If Ponder isn’t able to go, the Vikings will probably call on Freeman.
