ONE Fighting Championships wasted little time in rebooking a rematch between ONE FC Featherweight champion Koji Oishi and challenger Honorio Banario.

Oishi and Banario will meet in the main event of ONE FC 13: Moment of Truth, Dec. 6, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Philippines.

The two previously met at ONE FC 9: Rise to Power, back in May. Oishi, a former King of Pancrase, scored a second-round knockout to defeat Banario, who had been ahead in the fight, and capture the ONE FC 145-pound championship.

In addition to the Oishi vs. Banario rematch, Eduard Folayang, Geje Eustaquio and former WBC champion Jujeath Nagaowa will compete at the event. Opponents for these three fighters are expected to be announced in the weeks leading up to the event.

If Banario wins the fight and the title, ONE FC could decide to book a third match between the two fighters. In the event that does happen, I think they should try and have the third match in the Philippines. After all, Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier’s second rematch was known as the “Thrilla in Manilla.”
