The NFL world nearly exploded the day that the Indianapolis Colts and the Cleveland Browns announced that they had worked out a deal that would send former first-round draft pick, RB Trent Richardson, to Indy, where the offense seemed to be in great shape to begin with.

But, you know who hasn’t exploded since then? Trent Richardson, that’s who.

In eight games with the team, Richardson has rushed for a lackluster 272 yards on 96 carries. I’m fairly certain that that’s not what the Colts’ brass thought they were getting. But, then again, neither did a lot of people.

Another person who didn’t envision this type of outcome was Colts head coach Chuck Pagano.

While speaking to Pro Football Talk, Pagano admitted that he has no idea what has happened, but he is determined to get the error fixed, whatever that may be:

"“I don’t know if he’s snake bit, I don’t know what the heck is going on,” Pagano said. “We’ll get it fixed. We’ll get the holes there. He’s making the right reads, he’s doing all the right things, he knows what to do. He played great without the ball, protection-wise, those things. His numbers are going to come. I’m not concerned about that.”"
