The UCF Knights are officially on upset alert against the Temple Owls. The Knights came into the game with a 7-1 record and ranked 18th the nation. Temple on the other hand has won just one out of nine games all season

They struggled to get anything going offensively early in the game. Their first points midway through the first quarter came on a safety when the Zaire Williams was tackled in the end zone. They added a 20-yard field goal to take a 5-0 lead close to the end of the first quarter.

That is when things opened up and they started trading shots. Temple got on the board with a 32-yard touchdown from P.J. Walker to Jamie Gilmore. That capped a 10 play 82 yard drive and gave them the lead.

The Knights fought back and scored on a 49 yard touchdown pass from Blake Bortles to William Stanback. That gave the Knights back the lead. Then the Owls got back to marching down field They marched 82 yards down the field on 12 plays capped with a 3-yard touchdown run from P.J. Walker. That gave the Owls back the lead.

Then the last four minutes of the quarter brought about some quick scores. The Knights marched 81 yards down the field and added another Bortles touchdown pass. This time it was a short 4-yard pass to J.J. Worton. The Owls marched right back down the field and added a 30-yard Walker touchdown pass to Robbie Anderson to take a 21-19 lead. UCF was able to get down field in just over 2 minutes to kick a field goal to take a 22-21 lead into the half.

[UPDATE]:

Late in the third quarter, Temple retook the lead. The quarter lacked the back and forth of the second quarter offensively. Walker completed a 75 yard pass to Anderson, who caught a touchdown in the second quarter. That has the Owls up 28-22.
