Fantasy Football Sleepers Week 11: 5 Emergency D/STs to start
If you’re streaming defenses and are still searching on the waiver wire for a week 11 option, there are some options that make decent plug-and-play options. These defenses aren’t considered elite and are not weekly starters in most leagues, but their current form and matchups make them good starts this week.
Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals have had a pair of big games in their last two games piling up 32 points in ESPN standard scoring. Now, they face the Jaguars who have allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing defenses. The Cardinals were probably scooped up in your league already, but they are the first team D to check for if you’re looking for someone to start today.
Green Bay Packers
The Packers have struggled that last two weeks allowing 27 points in each game even though they’ve been at home and they got Clay Matthews back from injury. This week, their in a great matchup as they travel to New York to face the Giants who have allowed the most fantasy points per game to opposing defenses. Green Bay should bounce back and have a top-ten defense this week.
San Diego Chargers
The Chargers have been inconsistent all season, but they have flashed some potential at times this season. This week they’re in a great matchup against the Dolphins who have struggled allowing sacks and turning the ball over all season and now are dealing with a decimated offensive line.
Oakland Raiders
The Raiders D has been lit up at times this year (see Foles, Nick in the record book), but they bounced back with a very nice performance last week. They’ve scored double-digit ESPN Standard scoring points in four of their last six games, and now they’ll take on the Texans who have been struggling offensively for much of the season.
New York Jets
If all the above options are off the board, check the Jets coming off their bye as they visit the Bills. Buffalo’s offense has had numerous injuries at key positions leaving them without many weapons as they face a Jets D that can get to the quarterback. They sacked E.J. Manuel eight times in week 3 and should be in for another solid game this week.
