The Kansas City Chiefs were trying to get down field at the end of the second half to get into field goal range. They had 11 seconds and now time outs so they needed to get to the side line. The play didn’t go the way they wanted and Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith was flushed out of the pocket. Smith scrambled to his right side and threw a pass down field to wide receiver Dexter McCluster. He wisely is aware of the clock situation and his heading towards the side line when he gets tackled from behind by David Bruton. He knocks the ball loose and it just floats there. Jamaal Charles was following the play and just picks the ball out of mid-air and tries to get down field. Unfortunately there was a wall of Broncos defenders there and he maybe got another yard or two. Had he scored that would’ve been really exciting, like that A.J. Green Hail Mary reception we saw off the tip. Or more recently, like that game-winning Auburn touchdown from Saturday. jamaal charles fumble
