The Buffalo Bills have gotten their fourth win of the season over the New York Jets this week. Rookie quarterback E.J. Manuel returned and had a big game for the Bills completed 20 of 28 passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns.
It was a slow game to start, the first quarter ended in a 0-0 tie. In the second half the Bills poured it on. It began with a 40-yard field goal from Dan Carpenter. Then about 8-minutes later the real burst of offense occurred.
T.J. Graham caught a 34-yard pass from Manuel to score. That came at the end of a 7-minute drive that took 13 plays and covered 68 yards. Then about a minute later, they got the ball on the 4-yard line and punched it in for a second touchdown. Frank Summers was the running back to score the easy touchdown. They added another field goal before the half to take a commanding 20-0 lead at the break.
The Jets opened the half with a touchdown to get back into the game, but the Bills added another two touchdowns in the quarter to basically put this game away. One was a 43-yard touchdown pass to Marquise Goodwin, the other was a 32-yard interception return by Da’Norris Searcy.
The Jets added a touchdown pass to Jeff Cumberland, and the Bills added a field goal in the fourth quarter. That brought the score to 37-14, and dropped the Jets to a 5-5 record.
