Jason Pierre-Paul on Cowboys game: There will be blood
By Mike Dyce
To open the season, the Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Giants. That was the first in a string of six losses for the Giants, but they have since turned their season around and are currently on a four game win streak. They’re looking to keep that streak and playoff push alive with a win over the Cowboys in the rematch at MetLife Stadium
The Giants are particularly looking forward to exacting a bit of revenge on their rivals.
“We’re going to put it on them, man,” defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul said of the Cowboys, via Dan Graziano of ESPN.com. “I’m pretty sure the offense is going to get going. The defense is going to get going even more. And the special teams will contribute to it.
“It’s going to be a fight. It’s going to be a dogfight. There’s going to be a lot of blood spilled out there.”
Pierre-Paul wasn’t the only motivated player in the Giants locker room. Linebacker Jon Beason said that aside from the rivalry, the implications of the winner and loser in this game is motivating as well.
“We know the motivation is going to be there,” Beason said. “It’s the Cowboys. The winner’s going to go on and still have a chance, and the loser is probably done.”
The last time the Giants and Cowboys played at MetLife Stadium, the season opener in 2012, they beat the Giants who were celebrating a Super Bowl win.
