Nets’ Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, Andrei Kirilenko out Monday
When the Brooklyn Nets host the Portland Trail Blazers Monday night, they will be without point guard Deron Williams, center Brook Lopez and reserve forward Andrei Kirilenko. They also could be without swingman Paul Pierce, according to Mike Mazzeo of ESPN New York.
Both Williams and Lopez are suffering from a sprained left ankle while Kirilenko has had back spasms. Pierce has a sore left groin and will be a game-time decision. Power forward Kevin Garnett is also injured with a sprained right ankle, but is considered probable to play.
On the season, Williams is averaging 10.0 points, 6.5 assists and 1.9 rebounds per game. He’ll be replaced by veteran Shaun Livingston. Lopez, who is averaging 20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game, will have Andray Blatche fill in for him.
Kirilenko, who’s putting up 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game, has not played since November 8.
The Nets and Trail Blazers will tip-off at 7:30 pm EST.
