The Carolina Panthers were able to extend their winning streak to six games on Monday night with a 24-20 win over the vaunted New England Patriots.
Cam Newton, head coach Ron Rivera and everyone else associated with this organization have made some amazing strides this year, compared to last when everyone had Rivera possibly fired and Newton a bust.
That’s why it’s very fitting that Newton led the game-winning drive tonight on Monday Night Football to tell everyone what they can do with that bust label.
Closing in on one minute to go in the game, and down 20-17, Newton dropped back on the 13th play of the drive and found the speedy Ted Ginn on the left side who proceeded to race right past the Patriots defense and dive into the end zone for the six points, and eventually the win:
That looks like the Ted Ginn we all remember from Ohio State. But, man, the run that these Panthers are on is just amazing at this point. Hats off to everyone involved.
