Last week, the San Francisco 49ers released wide receiver and return man Kyle Williams on Tuesday after three-plus seasons, while also waiving cornerback Perrish Cox. Williams was later claimed by the Kansas City Chiefs, and it appears Cox, along with former Baltimore Ravens safety Michael Huff, worked out for the Seattle Seahawks:

Huff, the former top-10 pick of the Oakland Raiders appeared in seven games with one start after signing a three-year contract worth $6 million this past offseason to replace Ed Reed, but was replaced by rookie first-round pick Matt Elam by Week 2 and saw limited action since.

Huff’s play on defense hasn’t been what it should be for a player making that much money, but it was actually his lack of an impact on special teams that helped lead to his release. Since being cut, he has had separate workouts with the Cincinnati Bengals Dallas Cowboys.
