Oakland Raiders quarterback Matt McGloin did an admirable job in Week 11, as he led his team to a big win over the Houston Texans on Sunday afternoon. McGloin got the start in place of an injured Terrelle Pryor and now he will get another opportunity to show off his skills in the starting line up.

On Wednesday afternoon, Raiders head coach Dennis Allen announced that McGloin would be the team’s Week 12 starter for their match up against the Tennessee Titans.

If Pryor is paying attention, he should start getting concerned.

McGloin has been impressing the Raiders coaching staff since joining the team as an undrafted free agent following the 2013 NFL Draft, while Pryor has been inconsistent and a constant question mark as the team searches for an answer under center.

If McGloin could put together another impressive performance, the Raiders could decide to continue rolling with him under center. That could eventually lead to McGloin becoming the team’s starting signal-caller for the remainder of the season.

You never like to see a player lose their job due to injury, but it is the harsh reality of the business side of the NFL and McGloin may leave the Raiders no choice.
