When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon, NFL fans will be treated to a brilliant one-on-one match up between two of the best players in the league. Buccaneers cornerback Darrelle Revis and Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson will be going head-to-head, as Megatron looks to get back at Revis, who was able to shut him down in their first meeting back in 2010.

Revis says that this weekend he will do what it was he did a few years ago to hold Johnson to one catch and 13 yards — get physical.

“My thought was always just to be physical with him,” Revis said, via Pro Football Talk. “No receiver wants to get jammed and pressed at the line, so just be physical with those guys and match what they bring to the table.

“He’s one of the best in the league — he’s the best. He’s the best receiver in the league. I’ve played him before and I’m very familiar with him. I’m looking forward to it this week.”

When you play a wide receiver up close to line of scrimmage, you can knock them off of their routes and disrupt any rhythm.

If Revis can shut down Johnson yet again, the Buccaneers could have a real shot at pulling off their third-straight win this season.
