Peter Gammons compares Alex Rodriguez to Boston marathon bombers, apologizes (Audio)

Peter Gammons put his foot in his mouth when discussing Alex Rodriguez and his fight with Major League Baseball.  Gammons was a guest on Mike Lupica’s radio show when he made a very bad analogy between Rodriguez and the Boston marathon bombers.

“He wants to blow up the world. … He’s like the marathon bombers,” Gammons said.

It comes less than 24 hours after Rodriguez stormed out of his grievance hearing and rushed down to WFAN to go on the air with Mike Francesa. Rodriguez was upset that Bud Selig wasn’t going to attend and testify.

“I lost my mind,” Rodriguez told Francesa. “I banged a table and kicked a briefcase and slammed out of the room, and just felt like this system … I knew it was restricted and I knew it wasn’t fair, but what we saw today, it was disgusting.”

He has apologized repeatedly on Twitter:
