For a guy that the Dallas Cowboys blamed the majority of their problems on, New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan sure is thriving in his new home in Louisiana.

The Saints have one of the most impressive units in the entire National Football League and they’re putting that on display once again tonight against the Atlanta Falcons. So far, they’ve held the Falcons to just thirteen points and have made Matt Ryan’s night a living hell, more or less.

People shouldn’t have underestimated the skill of Ryan as a coordinator, as we’re finding out on a weekly basis this year. That goes for the teams that didn’t hire him immediately, and that goes double for you, Jerry Jones.

But, why is Ryan so good? Is he just that smart? Is it the tutelage of his famous old man?

Or, is it just his sheer focus, which he appears to be displaying here:

He’s either deeply entrenched in thought, or, as you might gather from the lip movement, he’s thinking about what’s going in his stomach after this game is through.
