The San Diego Chargers released their injury report for the Kansas City Chiefs this week and offensive tackle King Dunlap has been ruled out for this game. Outside linebacker Jarret Johnson is listed as doubtful, but hopes to play with a broken hand.  Considering the amount of pressure the Chiefs have been able to put on opponents this year with the notable exception being last week against the Denver Broncos, this is not good news for Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers.

The next man up for the left tackle spot appears to be Mike Remmers, a second year player from Oregon State who has already been on three NFL rosters.  He is being given a huge opportunity to make an impact, but has a huge challenge in facing Tamba Hali and Justin Houston, who have combined for 20 sacks this season.  The Chargers find themselves at 4-6 and trying to dig themselves out of this hole is difficult enough, but having to get a win against the 9-1 Chiefs without their starting left tackle is going to make that a much more difficult task.
