Jason Pierre-Paul says Giants defense ready to ‘hunt’ Tony Romo
By Mike Dyce
The New York Giants defense, led by defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, is doing a lot of trash talking before their coming match up against the Dallas Cowboys. This is already an NFC East rivalry game that doesn’t need additional hype, but Pierre-Paul is talking so much you would think he is trying to sell pay-per-views for a boxing match.
Earlier in the week Pierre-Paul made a strong prediction about the Cowboys game.
“We’re going to put it on them, man,” Pierre-Paul said, via Dan Graziano of ESPN.com. “I’m pretty sure the offense is going to get going. The defense is going to get going even more. And the special teams will contribute to it.
“It’s going to be a fight. It’s going to be a dogfight. There’s going to be a lot of blood spilled out there.”
He isn’t backing off his comments as the game approaches. He got specific regarding Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
“At the end of the day it don’t matter what quarterback’s in the game or whatever, because we going to hunt, that is what we do up front,” Pierre-Paul told NFL Network’s “NFL AM” Friday . “…Whatever we going to do, we’re going to hunt. Tony Romo is a good quarterback but we’re going to get after him this week.”
