The Denver Broncos are hoping tight end Julius Thomas will take the field Sunday against the New England Patriots, but it’s looking more and more questionable as Thomas is shaping up to be a game-time decision at best.

Interim head coach Jack Del Rio was asked about Thomas’ role in practice Friday and suggested that he was ‘limited’ – not the news Denver Broncos fans were hoping to hear as ‘Orange Julius’ has been one of the most productive pass catchers in all of football this season.

"Jack Del Rio on TE Julius Thomas, who is listed as Questionable: “Limited again today. We’ll just have to make a determination.”"

Granted, it could be the Broncos giving the New England Patriots a dose of their own medicine, who are well known to provide as limited updates as possible on their players. Either way, it doesn’t look like we’re going to have much info on Thomas’ status until late Sunday when the two teams battle in Foxboro.

If Thomas is unavailable, Joel Dreessen is expected to draw the start.
