The Philadelphia Eagles have completely turned their season around since Nick Foles has taken over the reigns of Chip Kelly’s offense, but many were wondering what would happen if and when Michael Vick was able to nurse himself back to 100 percent.

If Vick’s comments are any indication, the team should move forward with Foles running the show and Vick was able to show a sense of understanding and maturity about the situation.

In a day where many would say that they want to jump back as the starter, Vick showed his support of Foles and acknowledged that it wouldn’t be fair for the team to move away from a quarterback who is playing so well.

“In all honesty, in all fairness, how can you take a guy out of the game who’s been playing so well?” Vick said, via CSN Philly.

“I’ve been in this stage before, and I know what it’s like. I understand the position that this team is in, and the one thing I never want to do is be a distraction or put our team or our coaches in a position where they feel like they’re not doing the right thing or I feel like they’re not doing the right thing.

“I trust what’s going on, I enjoy being a part of it, I love the game of football in general. So it’s important to me to be there in support and be ready if my name and number is called again.”

Vick would obviously like to opportunity show off what he can do before he heads in to free agency, but he will strictly be a back up moving forward unless their is an unfortunate injury that occurs.

There is little doubt that a team will sign Michael Vick heading in to next season, it is just a question of where he will land and how much he will be making.
