The Dallas Cowboys could get wide receiver Miles Austin back this weekend against the New York Giants. The Cowboys could use Austin back in the line up, aside from depth concerns he could help provide a spark in the offense. The Cowboys are 4-1 in games he has played in and 1-4 in the rest.

“It’s just something that you have to go through regardless of how frustrating it is,” Austin said, via ESPNDallas.com. “You have to deal with reality when it comes. The reality now is that I feel good. I’m playing and ready to go.”

While 10 of Austin’s 15 receptions came in the first game against the New York Giants, he does other things for this offense. Playing on the field frees up other receivers and Austin’s deep routes can open underneath options. More importantly the Giants respect him. Austin has 44 catches for 571 yards and four touchdowns against the Giants in 8 full games. Wide receiver Dez Bryant is excited for Austin’s return.

“You put a smile on my face saying that,” Bryant said, via the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram. “It’s going to be great. It’s going to be outstanding. You’ve got Terrance Williams. You’ve got Jason Witten. You’ve got Miles Austin. You’ve got me. You’ve got Cole Beasley. What more can you ask for?”
