As soon as the season comes to an end for the Chicago Bears, they’ll have some of the toughest choices they’ll have to make within the last couple years. Besides Brian Urlacher.

Right now Charles Tillman and Jay Cutler are among a handful of players who are in the final years of their contracts. Both Tillman and Cutler have been hurt off and on this season, with Tillman being out for the remainder of the regular season.

We may have seen the last of Tillman in Chicago, as much as that hurts me to say. Take a look at the picture under the article people. I’m a die hard Chicago Bears fan.

Anyways, while Tillman’s future with the Chicago Bears may be in doubt, Jay Cutler still has a chance to hang out. Next season the Bears could franchise Cutler, who would make around $16 million for the 2014 season if a long term deal isn’t reached before the deadline.

Despite his injuries and mistakes that he’s worked on, Cutler has been the temporary solution for Chicago’s offensive problems. He has one of the strongest arms in the game and has great chemistry with his wide receivers. Yeah he’s a bit of a hot head and blows up, but the guy never gives up.

Don’t try to give me that ‘What happened against Green Bay a couple years ago in the NFC Championship game?’. The man is diabetic, if you have fluid in your knee and your diabetic, you risk infection if it’s drained. When it comes to a disease like that, almost anything can end your career.

But the man shows up every Sunday when he’s healthy enough to play and plays his heart out.

Now that Brandon Marshall is in his second year with the Bears, this team is oh so close to becoming one of the top teams in the league. They just have to get a couple things fixed on the defensive side of the ball.

With Cutler out, McCown has been getting things done so there isn’t much panic in Chicago right now. McCown and head coach Marc Trestman have already acknowledged that he is the teams back up and Cutler is the starter.

For a long time this team struggled to find their starting quarterback. It drove us Bears fans crazy as we had to deal with guys like Culpepper and Favre, while we went through quarterbacks like they were candy. Now that we have a franchise running back, we have a quarterback who has a winning mentality and now we have receivers who can balance out our attack.

If Cutler is let go by Chicago, I don’t think Marshall will be too pleased. Look what happened in Denver.

Things are looking good offensively Chicago, don’t mess this up.

Re-sign Jay Cutler.
