The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will put Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson on Revis Island. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, cornerback Darrelle Revis is expected to shadow Johnson all over the field “almost exclusively.”

That means a return of Revis Island. Head coach Greg Schiano was criticized earlier in the season for using zone coverage instead of man-to-man. Revis plans on being physical with Johnson.

“My thought was always just to be physical with (big receivers),” Revis said, via the Buccaneers’ official website. “They’re big guys. I feel no receiver wants to get jammed or pressed at the line, so just be physical with those guys and match what they bring to the table.”

Revis is embracing the challenge as well.

“He’s one of the best in the league…he’s the best,” said Revis. “I’d say he’s the best receiver in the league. I’ve played him before and I’m very familiar with him. I’m looking forward to it this week.”
