The 1-9 Jacksonville Jaguars went to Texas to take on the 2-8 Houston Texans. Some dubbed this game the battle for the number one pick. The Jaguars one win on the season came on some late game miscues by the Tennessee Titans. This win was all Jacksonville though.

Things got off to the right start for the Jaguars on the first drive. The Jaguars drove down the field and scored on a one-yard touchdown run to from running back Maurice Jones-Drew. That capped a 10 play 75 yard drive and quarterback Chad Henne completed five of seven passes on the drive.

On the Jaguars first drive of the second quarter they extended the lead to 10-0 with a 30-yard field goal from Josh Scobee. The Houston Texans got on the board at the end of the quarter with a 49-yard field goal from Randy Bullock.

The Texans got the ball to start the second half and drove 83 yards down the field on 13 plays. That set up a 20-yard field goal from Bullock, and pulled the game to within one possession. In the fourth quarter the Jaguars were able to get into field goal range again, and Scobee converted a 53-yard field goal to extend the lead to seven points at 13-6.

That was the final score of the game and the Jags held on to get their second win of the season and make the race for the No. 1 overall draft pick more interesting.
