The New York Jets had to suffer through another dreadful performance from rookie quarterback Geno Smith and now they are left wondering who their starting quarterback would be moving forward. After the team’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens, head coach Rex Ryan was asked who would be the team’s Week 13 starter and he would not make any commitment to Smith.

From Matt Miselis of Yahoo! Sports:

If Smith was benched, it would be Matt Simms who would get the start.

The Jets shouldn’t be surprised that there have been some growing pains with the rookie quarterback, but whenever he has been off his play is as ugly as you can get.

Hopefully Smith will be able to put it all together over the next few weeks, or the Jets could find themselves in the 2014 quarterback market and already giving up on their 2013 second-round draft pick.
