NFL deducts 16 yards from Tony Romo’s Week 12 passing total

The Dallas Cowboys were able to come away from Week 12 with a big win over the division rival New York Giants, but they did suffer a loss on Monday afternoon. Sort of. After reviewing the game film, the NFL decided to deduct 16-yards from Tony Romo’s passing total.
Star wide receiver Dez Bryant was on the receiving end of the reception in question, which turned in to a wild scramble and fumble. Bryant will lose 11-yards for his part in the play.
Here is a look at the play:
With the adjustment to his stat line, Romo finished the game with 234 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
It doesn’t change the result of the game, but it could hurt some fantasy football owners that needed those yards to get a narrow win in Week 12. If you ended up losing because of the change in the stat lines, sorry about your luck. Hopefully it doesn’t hurt your team’s chances at making your fantasy football playoffs.
