The Washington Huskies face an interesting decision, no, dilemma this week as they get ready for the Washington State Cougars in the 106th Apple Cup game at the new Husky Stadium in downtown Seattle. Who starts at quarterback?

Keith Price has been the guy for a majority of the season, but has been nicked up for several weeks and finally took a seat with a shoulder injury against the UCLA Bruins. Cyler Miles replaced him and did decently in the second half in the Rose Bowl but the Dawgs ended up losing the game. After a week of full reps and preparation though, he led the Huskies to a 69 point outing in a romp of Oregon State.

It seems a good problem to have, but is it? The team would rally around both which is fine but it may create a situation of split reps during the week. Especially in a shortened week, as this week proves to be, that could become a catastrophic issue.

One would think the right thing to do is see if Price is ready to go right now and if not, give the reigns to Miles. Even if Price might be ready to go by Friday, a week of uncertainty followed by an Apple Cup loss could spell doom for Sark in Seattle. The Huskies do not lose at home in the Apple Cup, that’s just the way things run in the Emerald City.

In a season of under-performance already by UW, stability going into this game especially is going to be a major factor. There is no doubt though that Price is wanting his shot at redemption from the blown 18 point lead in Pullman last year and on senior day, that could also be a factor. Also, is starting a redshirt freshman in his first Apple Cup a good idea while a redshirt senior sits? What if you lose that way?

So I pose it to you Husky faithful; do you like Cyler Miles or Keith Price to start at quarterback Friday afternoon against Wazzu? Let us know in the comments.
