The San Francisco 49ers beat the Washington Redskins 27-6 on the road on Monday Night Football.  Robert Griffin III struggled again, completing 17 of 27 passes for 127 yards and throwing one interception. He had a passer rating of 58.7 and a quarterback rating of 4.7. Griffin also ran six times for 22 yards. The Redskins managed only 190 yards of offense in the game.

“We’ve got to conquer some of the demons that we have going on as an offense and just as a team in general — and I think we will,” Griffin said, via ESPN. “It takes all of us.”

49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks thinks it might not take everyone, just Griffin. After the game, Brooks said that he felt like Griffin shouldn’t be playing.

“He’s obviously a man and he makes his own decisions, but I personally don’t feel he should be playing right now,” Brooks said, via JP Finlay of CSN Washington.

When asked a second time, and more directly, Brooks stood by his statement. Brooks point is that Griffin is injured and not fully recovered and that while he is brave for playing, he shouldn’t be.

“I don’t think he should be playing,” he said again. “You can see it. Everybody can see it, everybody can see it.”

“He’s a man, he has the heart of a warrior and is going to go out there and play regardless of the circumstance,” Brooks said of RG3. “Everybody can see it. Everybody can see it. He shouldn’t be playing.”
