Raiders Hunter, Moore not practicing but Jenkins is participating

At the Oakland Raiders practice today, defensive end Jason Hunter and wide receiver Denarius Moore were unable to participate.  On the other hand, cornerback Michael Jenkins was at practice meaning he has been able to pass two stages of the NFL’s concussion protocol.  Hunter is trying to recover from a foot injured while Moore is dealing with a shoulder injury.  Additionally, Jared Veldheer was working at left tackle while Khalif Barnes was at right guard.

Moore has caught 37 passes 569 yards and 5 touchdowns so far this season and has been a bright spot on a team that has worked to get rid of bad contracts.  Hunter has been able to contribute 14 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 pass defenses and a fumble recovery this season.

The Raiders are preparing to play the Dallas Cowboys on a short week, so the injuries they have and limited participation could be a problem.  The Cowboys are currently 6-5 and hoping to keep their playoff hopes alive and look to take advantage of a short handed Raiders squad.  If the Raiders can somehow get through this week without further injury, they may find themselves in pretty good shape as they take on the New York Jets with a week and a half to prepare and the time to rest.
